I hear it's a combination of Kentucky bluegrass and California sensimilla

The good thing is that you can go and play 18 holes on it, and then get stoned to bejeezus afterwards.

didnt we steal moo st's grass guy to fix our habitual grass problems?

Not sure if we hired M.S.U.'s grass guy, but LSU did try "Mississippi Choice" turf for three seasons. They tried both sod (The first year) and sprigged (seeded) the subsequent two and couldn't successfully maintain it because apparently nobody at the great "Agricultural" school had the knowledge to do so. (So I doubt if we actually had anybody from State on the staff)

M.S.U. still has Miss.Choice in their stadium and has no problem with it.

L.S.U. finally gave up and put in Celebration Bermuda before LAST season. Don't know if they actually hired a knowledgeable turf guy or if the Celebration is just easier to grow and more compatible with the underlying soil in Tiger Stadium, but the field looked really great and help up well all season.
