DB Coaching Improvements

hile everyone wanted the defensive staff fired, and rightfully so, why does Raymond continue to get a pass?! Busch was blamed, Pelini was blamed, Bill Johnson was blamed. But never Raymond. Why is that? You guys act like our D was lights out in 2019 when in fact it was shaky at best for most of the season, and what was the worst part of that D? Defensive backs. It’s been said that he’s a good recruiter but if he recruits 5 star talent and can’t develop them, then the recruiting doesn’t matter anymore. Just find it interesting that he continues to get a pass.

So to answer the question.....Yes Corey gets a pass for coaching part of the worst secondary in the nation.....regardless of talent....got it.....

Ok let’s break this down as simply as possible.
Corey Raymond coached Cornerbacks.
Bill Busch coached Safeties.
Pelini called coverages.
Cornerbacks were good for the most part.
Safeties were bad for the most part.
Coverages were microwaved dog shite for the most part.
Who deserves the blame?

Is he? Him missing on Surtain was just as bad, or worse, than Cregg missing on Leigh this year. That miss led to us taking zero corners that year and having to take Terrance Alexander.
2019 he got Stingley, who's from Baton Rouge and a few lower rated guys. 2020 we got Ricks, who had known Orgeron a long time, so was that really Raymond's get?
I mean, y'all want to run Cregg out of town but the corners looked just as mediocre as the o line last year and the recruiting has been underwhelming as well.
