Thomas seems to be the logical déclarée.

Can WW proceed and not look back?

It seems the players can continue to drag their feet but the program has to wait, or somewhat remain in LIMBO.

I don’t guess the scholarships are held hostage but what is the real story?

They’re all gone. They have little to gain by coming back, they aren’t going to “improve their draft stock.” They are what they are, 2 have no shot at being drafted, 1 is unlikely, but there are two-way contracts and ways to make a living and get a shot these days that there weren’t 15 years ago.

I would guess the players are spacing out their announcements to not encroach on one another’s spotlight

Thomas is a lottery pick. I think Watford improved his stock a lot and is potential first round pick. Smart is a potential 2nd round pick because of his offense. Days would have to earn it in the D-league.

1. Wade already knows who's staying and going. The public isn't entitled to That information

2. They're making career and life defining decisions. A fan wanting to know is not on their priority list.

3. Wade doesn't start recruiting when the season is over and decisions are made

I just don’t understand this logic. Even if you can’t improve your stock, why would you pass up a year or two of being a top dog on a tournament team to go play in the G league or some random country in Europe or Asia?

Yeah I get that they get paid to do those things but if they are what they are then those opportunities will be there at the end of their college career anyway.

Maybe I just can’t see past my college fandom but I can’t see how playing in obscurity is better than playing in the spot light.
