Our class last year wasn't built to be a top class bc we signed based on need. We needed LB's. We loaded up. Our classes under Miles have typically been very highly rated. Last year being an exception.
As I said before, the LAST thing to worry about with this team is defensive depth...particulary in the defensive backfield.

The evidence really doesn't support this proposition. We clearly wanted both Davis and Collins, they were simply snatched away by other schools. The staff didn't voluntarily yield those two recruits.

Agree. However, that doesn't mean that the exceptional year is somehow acceptable or good for LSU. Losing several top in-state recruits (particularly those that the staff clearly wanted) isn't good for LSU. This shouldn't be a controversial statement. Anyone with a soupcon of reason would just admit that what happened during the 2012 recruiting season was disappointing, was negative for the program, that we were outrecruited by Bama (among others), and that fans should hope it never happens again. But instead of taking that position, which embraces reality, some stubborn dolts (not necessarily you, bearded) feel compelled to concoct cockamamie excuses and delusions about what transpired.

Not that it really matters at this point but the two scrimmages I saw leading up to the spring game he got torched and chewed out at least twice. Missed a bunch of tackles and was only visable because of these things......

So how do you feel about this current recruiting class where we are blowing the frick up? Or any other of miles past recruiting classes besides last year that were phenomenal? Do you not think we are consistently a top 5 team talent wise? Does it really matter if our studs come from "the top 5" of Louisiana? Bitching just to bitch, " oh noz we lost Landon Collins and Devall" yeah don't see how we are going to make it the next 4 years with this kind of shite.

Is Jenkins the one that looks like Yoda?

I still think the class of 2012 has some athletes other than LB'ers who will contribute, esp. at DB and OL. But the staff did do a very good job of addressing the needs of LB & the depth there should improve.
Back to Jenkins, does anyone have some idea about when we might know for sure if he'll return, or do we just wait until fall practices start the first week of August?
