One game at a time, if we lose, we are out of the championship, but the same does not go for LSU

FIFY, LSU will have 4-5 games this caliber thru the season

If LSU loses to Oregon then runs the table the rest of the year there is pretty much no way LSU doesnt play for the NC.

If Oregon or OU also run the table, then we're out.

We obviously don't jump Oregon and we won't jump OU.

We may jump FSU if they beat OU, but even that is suspect.

With the SEC winning 5 straight titles if any SEC team runs the table in conference it would take two undefeated teams from top conferences to keep them out and there would probably still be a huge debate over adding the SEC team..

Yep, SEC gets an automatic BCSNCG bid.

Lmao - um pretty much no way? I can count MANY ways. For starters, OR and OK undefeated = NCG.

Man the Homerism is literally off the charts on these forums. I hav followed numerous sporting teams on numerous forums and never have I seen such blind, invalid confidence and Homerism anywhere!

Congratulations on having the most Homeristic board on the planet.

Darron also said that if they lose, then their season is over...that's a shitty way to look at your season.

I don't care care if he said this is bigger than the NC, because that's in the past and this is now. But I do have a problem with the fact he thinks his season is over if they lose. Anything can happen.

That's because Tradition has actually won a championship and knows better.

This might be true if our confidence was either blind or invalid.

You'll find out tomorrow Duckboy.

We've won the Homerism National Championship three times this decade.

But seriously, if you think LSU bad, go hang out with some Alabama fans. They would literally print T-shits if you declared them Homerism National Champions.

Maybe. Too early to tell. I will say that of all the OOC games, this one and the FSU/OU matchup will have the most bearing on the season. Congrats to all schools involved for putting these games together.

If you listen to the interview, he said it is bigger than the BCS championship game because it is the next game.

So how many championships would that be for them at that point?

Like it or not the FACT that the SEC West alone has 5 top 25 teams out of 6 right now and the FACT that the SEC has won the last 5 NC games. If a 1 loss SEC team, undefeated in SEC play, is there at the end of the season you will have a huge push to put them in over a undefeated team that hasnt played the same schedule. Mainly because they will say you have to unseat the SEC to win the title.

The undefeated teams will not simply get in because of who they didnt lose to. It would matter who they beat.

Well, I guess I can understand that sentiment from the perspective of a player preparing for a game.

But seriously, in 20 years when Darren is looking back at his career, will he think of this as "bigger" than a real shot at a NC that he was that close to? It doesn't make sense that a reg season game would approach that, in the big picture.

Outside of 2 undefeated BCS conf teams can you define "MANY"?

I didnt say 100% I did say pretty much did I not?

2 undefeated BCS teams is in the ONLY thing that would keep a 1 loss SEC champion out of the NCG.

But feel free to elaborate on those "MANY" ways.

Your next game is your biggest game. If LSU drops two or three before Nov 5. That date in Tuscaloosa doesn't mean as much.

Is this your first year following college football? There is exactly ZERO chance mathematically or from a human poll perspective that ANY 1 loss team gets in over an undefeated OR and OK. They are 1 and 3 in the polls now!

Do they teach math and common sense at LSU? I bet they do. Must be another Tulane grad.
