To be fair, Etling reached out to LSU first. Cam didn't have to go looking for him, but did offer him the scholly.
So, makes Etling even more likable. He came to the land where QBs go to die. This is the first team Ive seen rally around a Qb in a minute.

As already stated, it's obvious he is working on the deep ball, and we see tangible improvement after just two weeks. That a good sign, as we get our regular open date coming up after the OM game.
I also agree on the O Line really being the key. Etling was under more pressure early in he game, so he looked a little more jumpy and was focused on the short routes. Hopefully with the O Line shuffle, we will see some improvement in pass protection. OM may not be great at stopping the run, but we know their front 7 can get after a QB. Our guys need to be dialed in for Etling this week.

Others were a little late and helped by good catches. If he learns to throw with more anticipation he'll be real good.
Even his late throws were earlier than the previous qb would have thrown it.
I really like Etling getting the ball out quickly. I also like his ability to avoid the rush, I would say the o lines pass blocking was a C in that game. Etling moving around and saved them from a bad day.
O line has to turn up the intensity in the upcoming games.

The throw to Dural on the run moving to his right at the 1:35 mark.
