He had 8 completions vs Tenn Chatt.
He was 1-9 for 4 yards on third down vs Miss St
He had 40 yards passing after 3 quarters vs Syracuse.
He had 61 yards passing and zero points vs Troy at half time

But feelings > facts I suppose

Honestly ragging on Etling is dumb.

That dude may not be very good but just imagine last year without him

Danny is as good as we've had in recent years sans Mett.

He is not this teams problem.

That's not saying much nor does it make him not the problem.

We have long list of issues, QB play is 100% one of them, it's not even up for debate really.

He's an average college QB. He'd probably be an adequate game manager with a decent team around him and a better coaching staff.

Of course, OP couldn't go around carrying a sign that says "Danny Etling is an average QB". Danny and his family wouldn't be his BFF then.

He's one of the few players who really seems to care. Unfortunately he doesn't have much offensive line protection, and he doesn't have the highest ceiling in the world. He did save our season last year. If not for him, we would have been 5-7 or something like that last year.

No one can save us this year though.

Transferd from purdue thats all that needs to be said.

When LSU is good it has at least an NFL backup QB level talent on the team.

hate to say it but Etling and Brennan arnt good enough to hold clipboards in the NFL

Brennan is 18. It's a little early yet to be making that sort of assessment about him.
