I guess you missed the part where his WR fell down as he was releasing the ball during that play.

Key word...consistent. I give him credit for the nice throws he makes, but he usually follows them up with a floater to nobody like BH, underthrown, or hitting the ankles of defenders running behind our WR's.

He's never been that guy who consistently puts it where it needs to be. This is the first time since he picked up a football that he's hit 60 percent completion. And it's literally, right at 60 percent. He's only thrown somewhere around 150 passes. Hurts who everyone on the Rant bashes has a higher completion percentage as awful as he is.

Like I said before, if he can use his many years of experience to somehow learn how to be more consistent we stand a chance.

I can't tell for sure, are you now arguing that he is a better quarterback than Hodson, Rohan and Flynn? My ignorant opinion? You are truly a douche.

A few? 9 of his 13 completions were to WRs.

Which is good. But it isn't the norm. Our receivers have 53 total receptions on the season. That's less than 7 total passes per game to wr's. That is terrible

quote:

And since when does it matter who or where completions are made? Bama used to live on the screen play within 5 yards of the LOS. Just get the ball to your skill players, whomever they may be.

Do you honestly think Foster Moreau and Darrell Williams are our best playmakers? Are we going to score a single offensive point by only throwing the ball to rb's and tight ends vs bama?

I must have missed where I said this.

But for years fans have been calling for more screens and utilizing the TEs in the passing game. Now that Canada and Etling are doing just that, our fans are complaining again.

Considering our recent playcalling, Id say it's a fair chance Guice, Williams, Taylor, or Moreau are given the opportunity.

His ability to avoid turnovers is the key stat for his qbr. But do u know how many big plays he's missed because he's afraid to turn it over ? He's gotta start looking past his first progression. Canada has adjusted well to Danny's skill set and the oline problems with pass pro. But to avoid a blowout at Bama they better find a way to get the ball down field and protect Danny better.

You said "Just get the ball to your skill players, whomever they may be." Well in 2 of the last 3 games that hasn't included passing the ball to wr's at all. In our last game, Williams and Moreau accounted for over 75% of Etling's passing yards. All of Williams' receptions were caught behind the LOS.

I've seen this posted several times on this site. How do you not understand the difference between utilizing rb's and tight ends as opposed to them literally being the main positions receiving passes? I highly doubt people asking to include those positions didn't want to do so at the cost of excluding receivers.

Agreed except for "Taylor" as I don't know who that is. Do you actually believe they will be successful?

Wow, you started a response thread to repost that ridiculously misleading information. Go figure.

Danny Etling does not suck. However, he does not now and never did have the talent to lead a top level D-1 program. Nice try though.

I don't think he sucks, but he's very limited. To me, being ranked 3rd in the SEC in QBR highlights just how bad the QBs in the SEC are right now.

Next year that could change though as a lot of these guys are underclassmen.

Resulting in 3 Ws.

Sure I do. I feel Canada will call plays that put them in favorable positions to make plays. They've proven they can be successful.

He’s the kind of fan who would bitch about Canadas offense at Pitt because WRs had too many rushing attempts that shouldve gone to running backs even though they scored 40 ppg. He’s as clueless when it comes to football as a person can be.

I received my degree at frick U and where’d you get yours? I see you live in the skinny jean capitol of the south so it’s a given your best friends are Neal and Bob, but what record breaking offense did you direct.

Or the kind that would have bashed the staff for trying to throw it around the field and lost, instead of exploiting the rushing defense of Ole Miss.
