We need to support him. He’s apparently working hard on the passing and frankly he can carry the offense with his legs if necessary. If anybody needs to be taking heat right now it should be Denbrock

Denbrock aka Cam Cameron 2.0 definitely needs to be taking more heat. That also said, we don't pay 10 million a year to BK for him to make a bad hire like that. Not just that, we know BK has a heavy hand in the offense too which is why he went with Denbrock. I don't think it's fully BK's fault by any means and I speculate the flaws in the scheme he forced Denbrock to change like constantly running a TE out there who's not an SEC guy in Kole Taylor instead of your rich WR roster. He's not immune from criticism either and if you look at BK's QBs at ND he didn't exactly do a great job managing them overall there either.

Nobody is going to convince me for the money LSU is spending on an OC you should ever have a guy there other than one who adjusts scheme to player strengths. A guy who just slaps a scheme in front of the player and expects them to run it is the worst kinda of OC(aka Jimbo) which is why you get struggles like this. No adjustment, no creativity, etc. Perfectly fine scheme when you have a good QB to run it but otherwise just forcing the square peg in the round hole. There's plenty this scheme could do to throw a defense on their heels and to make JD feel more comfortable by mr. dinosaur doesn't do anything to help.

I’ll never bash a kid trying to win football games. Hope he throws all over Tennessee this weekend.

I may not love his passing ability but the kid has tons of heart, never quits, and stays positive. I think if you asked most of the people on here if they would take a 4-1 start, back in July. Most would have been thrilled.

Wasn't Denbrock brought in to run Brian Kelly's offense the way BK wants it run?

And I don't know of any offense that would be successful if a QB can't get over the yips in throwing the ball. I am sure JD is a nice kid. I am sure all of our QB's are nice kids. Doesn't make any of them worthy to start when they can't get the job done.

I agree. I support him.
But he can't carry the offense with his legs.
Anyone interested, watch Jordy Culotta, today. Coach, Caskey, gives a very good review on the errors made by the team.
We will know if Daniels is capable of correcting those errors after the Tenn game.
If not, one of the other QBs should, IMO, be given a chance, in order to get ready for next season.

Yes. Kelly needs to answer these questions directly, more than denbrock, really.

If this is the offense then you're gonna need Georgia's offensive line every year.

It's too slow developing.

We're rich in WR's but Kelly wants a team full of tight ends.

Feels a lot like Miles recruiting a decade worth of guards and no natural tackles.

Yes. To answer your second question do you watch football? Look no further than your rival in the west at Ole Miss. Explain to me how Kiffin takes mediocre arse QBs and still has top 25 offenses?

There's tons of shite LSU can do to throw a defense on their heels with a QB like JD. Where's the RPOs, screens, hell, look at his run game scheme. They also run lots of long developing plays. It's terrible. There's tons more I can think of. This guy is fricking awful. It does your QB no favors to feel comfortable.

Main thing here is if it continues not to work is BK going to make a change? That's the only question that needs to be answered. I think he will but I'm also not paid 10 million a year to know that was a bad hire right out of the gate. He can do better and put his ego aside.

I would love to see that as well, but I'm not expecting it.

He's in his 4th season as a starter. Not gonna fix his issues in one week. Better anticipation on his throws would be a dramatic improvement.

Yeah I agree. I just hope he's not so married to his own offense that it becomes a Jimbo type of situation.

The offense at aggy is just one of many problems, but it's Jimbo's whole identity.

Denbrock is the least of the 2. He has called passing plays that the QB doesn't even remotely attempt to pass. You can't blame Denbrock without first blaming the RB.

If being a good kid and hard worker was all it took, I would’ve been the starting QB at lsu too. Not the case. Have to hold him to the highest standard. He has to perform.

We're 4-1... and he hasn't turned the ball over. He's doing better than most of the quarterbacks we've had the last 10 years.
