We freak out like no other fan base, and if I were a player and have been checking up on TD the past month or so, I'd think twice about the future of the program too. We need to support our team and be as positive as we can.

Absolute BS. Wow, some of you are REALLY myopic.

If you had a child and where reading what fans had to say about the School you wanted to go to don't you think it would have something to say about that School.

I would seriously question me and his mother's ability to raise children if he makes an enormous decision based on anonymous posters on the internet.

I know for a fact Cassius Marsh is a fan of the Play Russell Shepard facebook site. It is plastered with statements about firing Miles.

I know its the easy thing to do...but don't blame this on Miles when have absolutely no clue why he decommitted.

I hate to admit this, because I myself have been guilty of starting threads that were critical of Miles' clock management.

Trust me, the poor coaching and playing on the field on national tv in front of tens of millions of people each weekend has far more reach than an internet message board for hardcore fans.

The recruits see with their own eyes what is happening, they don't need some anonymous poster to explain it to them. The average fan can see Les Miles in front of the camera making no sense whatsoever, they don't need that explained to them.

People aren't that dumb. You believe what your own eyes are showing you. The coaches are doing ten times more damage to the recruiting than the negative fans ever could or would do. The coaches and the administration - along with the local media who do their bidding- are going to spin it so that the slide appears to be the fault of the fans, not the coaches. This is an attempt to save their own asses, by blaming the fans. Instead of turning the blame where it belongs, on themselves.

I haven't read any other college boards so I honestly don't know if we are unique in the way we behave on this board. I believe that the freedom to speak your mind on this board is what makes it so successful

"Wow! That's great feedback. I'll consider that in the future before I post something negative. Thank you for pointing that out."

Oh, no; not this board.

"I'll continue to spew garbage at will. If recruits don't come here, it's got nothing to do with me. They're stupid and we don't want 'em anyway. And oh, btw, you're stupid too."

Boards like this 1 are causing LSU to lose Commitments

Sure, Don. It's probably not the fact that every media outlet in the entire country has a ceremonial "Les Miles is the dumbest coach in college football" segment of their programming. It's probably not the epic failures of basic coaching seen in the Ole Miss and Penn State games this year, or the any number of WTF moments in games over the course of his tenure at LSU. It's most likely not the fact that other coaches like Saban and Meyer and Kiffin and anybody else with a top ten program are reinforcing the ideas put forth by "all the negative talk on message boards concerning LSU offensive coordinator Gary Crowton and the quarterback situation" (there's probably just a little talk about Miles being on the hot seat this year, as well as the decline of the program since he's taken over). Opposing coaches may also arouse the notion that Miles doesn't play the talent, he plays the seniority...they may foster the idea that if a top notch 4 or 5 star recruit were to sign with their school that they'd have a shot to play if their performance at practice warranted it. They might point to examples at Alabama like Trent Richardson or Julio Jones. They might also point to examples at LSU like Russell Shephard and KW. Who knows...other coaches might use Les Miles' recruiting prowess against LSU by noting the last 4 classes signed by LSU and how, even with that overflow of talent, LSU can't break the top 100 in offensive production.

No, Don it's not the poor coaching decisions made by Miles and his staff. It's the message boards.

okay, if we rantards post messages that praise miles and crowton, and their briliant offensive philosophy, all will be well. i guess we will sign reed ,seastrunk and a long list of more offensive threats. especially those that come from families w/o television

Nobody is saying this....but starting threads calling out players, calling our QB stupid, starting bullshite posts about Miles and the coaching staff are unnecessary.

These bullshite myths started by the rant about how Miles only plays upperclassman and cant develop talent cannot help in any way, shape, or form.

Very few people get their impression of LSU football from the rant. They get their impression from watching TV commentator talk about how our O-line gets dominated or how the coaches just called a stupid play or made a stupid decision. People don't take time to read newspapers today much less the rant. They get their sports news from sports TV shows and sports radio shows. The rant is just a place where people vent on info they got from some other source.

It is all connectted. Maybe we need to draw a picture for those who have so much hatred in their heart for Miles that they can't understand what we are saying. Regardless of who is coaching LSU, the school is considered one of the top programs in the country. The less negative crap flying around the better. We do not know why some of these kids decommitted, but the crap that is flying around on this site from you Miles haters is in no way helping the situation. Its as if you are trying to get revenge for Miles' coaching and the team losing. If you think you are really a LSU fan, I would encourage you to transfer your allegiance to Alabama or Florida. I would love to see them have more fans like you. You are acting like you are a LSU fan and you are not. I would love to see either one of those schools to have to suffer fans like you.
