I know that over the years several people have said that they went on the boards of other teams and you get deleted and banned pretty quickly for posting things that could be considered negative towards their programs. (I'm not advocating that this board be run that way - I love this place. But I'm not sure how far you'd get on those boards.)

Naw. The people who think LSU's fan base is exclusive in their dissatisfaction doesn't get around much. Some websites ban or eliminate negative posts but all fan bases are similar.
Go to national boards, you will find that LSU fans are not exclusive. If a recruit is swayed by message board fodder, that kid is in for a rough life in NCAA football.

It is because of the negativity sournding the team as a whole. No one is trying as fans to help this team out forget about Miles, forget about Crowton and forget about yourselves for a little bit and think about how you win NC's or compete for them, Recruiting is the #1 factor. If you get the top recruits then they should know their positions all they need learn is the play book. So cut out all the negativity it is on here every day give it a rest or at least til after recruiting is over then maybe we might be able to salvage something but if you don't then you have no place to look but at yourselves. The two top things that causes recruits to look elsewhere is the Coaching and the Fans so come on Fans let's do our part then whatever happens happens but let's give it rest OK!

I think this board does hurt the program and should take that policy, though it is entertaining at times, there are to many instances of lies, and down right hateful comments about the team we are supposed to be supporting, constructive cri tism is one thing, but what is said here goes way beyond that. I think Dandy Don has a point, and the people who don't aknowledge that there is some truth to what he is saying are in denile. Do I believe Crowton should go yeah probably but, but I also believe it can be turned around. There is still alot of talent on this team and support and positive attitudes will get them back to where they should be.

Let me ask you this...say you were planning on moving to a city or town for 3 years and you had 10 different choices so you went on some message boards to see what they were like. And on one of the cities message boards all you read was negative crap about how the mayor sucks, everyone in the town sucks, and the city is going downhill quick....and you dont know the city well enough to realize most of it is bullshite. Would choose to move to that city or one of the other 9?

I don't like Miles and expect him to be gone after next year. LSU can have a mediocre recruiting class this year if that helps get Miles out the door.

Very good point Choctaw, but I think that many on this board firmly believe that by doing what they are doing it will cause a ripple effect, by that I mean if the tigers continue to under achieve they will get their wish and see Miles fired. I really wish Chicken are whoever the hell sits and reads all this crap would change his policies because it is doing some damage.

Yeah recruits listen to the ranterds to make their choice on a school, it has nothing to do with our coach he great. Everyone just say positive shite and the recruits will start rolling in nothing but 5 stars hahaha this is stupid, i wouldnt want to go to LSU with LM as the coach

I'm not so sure this team can come out of the offensive funk its been in all of this season. My expectations for last season were set very high, this year?, not so much. I think that general feeling is felt by many on this board. Should they not voice that?

I think it is possible. I have said this before, but I believe that boards like this one do more to hurt LSU athletics than help it.

This same thing happened in the late 80's with the Tiger Rag. Steve Myers went negative on everything in his Rag. I quit taking at that time. Negatigers hurt recruiting and Dandy Don is RIGHT. Chicken you need slow or stop this practice. By the way I was very negative after the Ole Miss game, to much to drink too. I take it all back I was Wrong for doing that. One thing about Miles I like is he is CLASS.

I dont know how much it affects their decisions, but you'r nuts if you dont think recruits read these boards. I would love to read what a university's fans are saying about me if I showed interest in that school.
