He probably won’t do it, but the first order of business if I’m O is to sit Clark.

He’s a complete liability.

We have freshmen who are talented. Some have been allowed to prove it at other positions and they did (TJ, Ricks, Ojulari, Etc).

Why not White/Sampah?

Baskerville or White need to start making the calls and take over. I’m not sure what’s happened to Clark. He played really well last year.

Baskerville is still better than Clark if they dont think the freeshmen are ready. This is a Welter 2.0 situation.

He didn't play MLB in a 4-3 scheme last year. He was an outside pass rusher, not an ILB (Queen and Jacobs). WIth that said he has not picked up his responsibilities as quick as needed. He has speed, but read/react is still a work in progress.

Why do they keep running him out there? i mean they do see he does nothing in the film room right? It feels helpless just like when welter kept starting and doing nothing. I mean playing the young guys can it get any worse ?

4-3 mlb should be a thumper sideline to sideline. #18 isnt that. He is who he is. But I agree when he went out the defense flew around the ball.

Phillips and Queen make others look really really good.

He looks totally lost and is playing the worst of all the defense. There are a lot of issues though. The dline is very undisciplined and the safeties always seem nonexistent in the run game ( never seem to come downhill on run plays, read your keys and react damn it ). I will say as a group, they are young but they should have a better grasp of things by now. They better get in more time at that fine film room and study up on their deficiencies.

I disagree on the d line. Once they got Ojulari in, the unit took a massive step forward in creating pressure. It’s up to the LBs to clean up in the run game.

Do we have a Kendall beckwith that Clark is starting over? Baskerville is better than Clark but probably has a limited ceiling. Would like to see a young guy get those snaps.

23 is much, better. 18 needs to be benched. Move 7 to lb

Ojulari played well but is undisciplined at times ( but getting better ), he gives up big runs because he doesn’t keep containment ( he is susceptible to cut back runs and zone read QB keepers). Ojulari is damn good though and if he cleans up a couple things will be a super star. Some of the big runs were on outside cutbacks.
