you're right, the negativity is too much. We got beat by the best team, in the country. Our offense is improving, ever so gradually and our defense has improved by leaps.

Take out all the fuking 1st quarter penalties and get a TD on forth and goal and its a game. I'm not happy about the O, but I see improvement in JJ from where he was just five weeks ago.

you're wrong about running the table, we will.

We scored 17 on Georgia.

Georgia has the 75th ranked total defense.

Arkansas is worse at 95th.
Auburn is at 67th, so about the same.

Neither of their offenses, while talented, are as good as Florida's.

Why is it unreasonable to think we can hold them to 13 or less while scoring 13 or more?

I didn't play for anything. And neither did you.

I was simply stating what happened last night. Which is that we lost by 10 to the BEST team in the country.

It's not so much the fact that we lost. It's how we lost. It's how we play the game these days that hurts so much.

It sucks because we could have easily won that game. We had 0 offense. From my post last night "If we had a DECENT qb we win. Doe in the headlights is no way to play. If your qb is using his fingers to do his checkdowns you are screwed. If your receivers have a 6" height advantage and you don't put it up for grabs a few times you are not doing your job."

Taking this many sacks is ridiculous. If you know your o-line is letting you down, you must have a hot route and you need to get the ball there quickly to keep the D honest.

I am. I think we will be in the SEC championship game agains Florida. I'm not sure if they can be beat, but JJ will be better prepared by then.

I see Scott running much better, and I see the O line run-blocking better. Pass protection sucks, but Florida has the best D-front in the country. This loss will help us because we don't have the attitude of last year, when the players wanted to point fingers. JJ has a great attitude, and it will prevail against the haters.

Well Look at the 2003 season. What was our only loss and what was the score?

I don't care that we lost. I care that Shep rode the bench, with all our top recruits there to see it. Long term, this will kill us.

Blatant facts make you sad?

I mean, our offense is terrible. I concede that. But our offense has been able to score just enough against teams with shitacular defenses (Georgia, Mississippi State) and our defense just shut down one of the top offenses in the country well enough for us to have a puncher's chance.

Answer me this: Besides Bama will any team we play have as good of defense as Florida?

The answer is no. And it's not close.

Will any team we play have as a good as offense as Florida?

The answer is not really. Auburn is ranked ahead of UF in total offense right now. But the quality of their competition isn't exactly stellar....

The way the defense is starting to play, that is all the offensive points LSU might need.

The defense has a good chance of scoring against Aub, Ole Miss, and ArK.

LSU could win all of those games 20-10.

Bama will be tough.

10-3 with a Cotton Bowl win would be a very good season.
