This is amazing to me considering how much Ramos actually sucked

This sums up Ramos pretty well. For the most part he was a pretty accurate kicker when not asked to kick medium to long (say mid 40s-50) and long (51+) range kicks. He had a clear limitation and isnt an NFL kicker by any shape of the imagination but at least was "reliable"
Kind of unfortunate a missed 44 yarder cost us the bowl game potentially but 24 for 28 is solid season coming into the game. I just wish we had another kicker for kicks over say mid-high 40s or so yards.
