You can thank Johnny Jones for all of that. I am telling you right now. Dale Brown had nothing to do with any of that.

I heard that Lester Earl admitted that he'd lied about all of that, and that Dale and Johnny had done nothing wrong.

RW called out LSU, Brown and the Tigernation. We have good reason to think he is a piece of crap.

Sure he did. LE hadn't said a thing till Brown wouldn't let him out of scholarship.

Next thing is Dr. Red and Phil's Oyster Bar has NCAA investigators up the wazoo. Dr. Red admits to some kind of foot operation, gets banned as a booster, Phil's denies giving free lunches to players, and a bag of money gets brought up by LE from JJ that no one ever corroborates except LE.

Earl goes to Kansas, plays a little, can't shoot a lick, comes back to BR and says he made it all up. He made it all up to get out of his scholarship at LSU.....set up by RW.

LSU getting put on probation was the biggest crock of shite ever, not what I said.

I heard that it was right after Shaq and his step-father and his mother arrived and wanted to dictate the plays.

He admitted lying about Dale Brown for sure. Even called him and apologized

He was horrible in his last 6 or 7 years and quite frankly should have been fired when it became apparent he had no idea what to do with a talent laiden team that had Chris Jackson, Stanley Roberts and Shaquille.

This is the kind of BS that people use against Brown all the time. Yeah he had a team with Roberts, Shaq and CJ on it.....for 1 year. So what?

Name another coach we've ever had who has ever or could ever get the kind of talent in here that Dale did? None. None before and none after.

Name another coach that could have taken that 86 team to the Final Four?

He didn't quit coaching....he quit recruiting his last 4 or 5 years and the program suffered.

So he's gone. He went to 11 consecutive NCAA tourneys, 2 Final Fours and brought more talent to BR than any coach LSU will ever have again.

I don't understand all the hate for Brown from stupid a-holes.

This is what you said, and that is what I was replying to. Now we can address that if you'd like.

+1. Folks seem to forget that LSU was the SEC program of the 80's building a program from nothing. Yes Pistol was here but he was a one man show, not a program. Without Dale Brown LSU basketball would be Ole Miss

Actually every sport at LSU loses money except for football

I agree. National media and fans paid attention, in addition to the BR peeps.

Dale Brown here, Larry Brown at Kansas, Tark at UNLV, John Thompson at G'town, and several others CHEATED for years! It's just easy to do. I would have done it also. As cheesey as the movie Bluechips was, it conveyed much truth.

I said this and a bunch of other stuff. LE hadn't said anything about anything till RW wants him to come to Kansas. Brown wouldn't let him out of his scholarship.

Next thing you know stuff about parents with jobs, bags of money all kinds of stuff that the NCAA never was ever to get any evidence on other than from the mouth of that no talent hack LE.

RW wanted Earl and told him to make crap up....he did and got his release where he still was a no talent, can't hit a 2 foot jumper bum at Kansas.

LE was a loud mouth, lying Dennis Brown.

One thing's for sure. When Dale Brown was at LSU we weren't just a football school. He made a difference just as Press and Pete Maravich did.

LSU does have a basketball tradition and a very colorful one. Like or hate Dale Brown, he always kept things exciting.

Earl wasn't smart enough to make all that shite up himself.

Ask Dale or JJ what they think. Bet they think the same thing. The NCAA were getting their info from somebody else....LE and RW.

When he first arrived at LSU in '72, this was true. Only after Dale Brown built up the basketball program did it receive any attention from the athletic department. The same can be said for baseball until after Skip built it into what we have today.

Good observation. Brown did for basketball at LSU what Skip did for baseball. He put it on the map.

We live in a what have you done for me lately society. Dale had a few losing seasons and everyone turned on him.

Dale Brown is the best thing that ever happened to the LSU Basketball program.
