Bait, also that crappy Bama team is just a few spots below us. Wonder how he's gonna spin this

Maybe that's why we haven't heard from him, he only comes around to complain. I truly don't see how he thinks he really ENJOYS LSU basketball

Maybe Drizz can respond for him again. He seems to have gotten the hang of it

no signature road wins.

Only two teams have beat Vandy in Nashville. LSU and Dayton. Both are NCAA Teams... That's certainly not a win to sleep on. It is very well known how tough it is to win at Vanderbilt.

Alabama also has wins against (kenpom ranks) #16 Wichita St, #28 Notre Dame, #46 South Carolina, and #58 Clemson... So it's not like that is a scrub team who can't pull out wins...

Ok, I'll say it.

That ESPN bracket is bittersweet. We are in but in same bracket as Stony Brook.

I can see 11 seed. I have been in the thought we'd make the tourney, but would end up in the play-in game. Committee going to make us go the extra step to get to the big dance.

If we're on the bubble on selection day, it would make sense from a standings viewpoint

Yeah Vandy and Alabama currently have RPIs of 64 and 65, so those are pretty good already.

We are 10-1 at home, but 2-6 on road/neutral site games. Granted some of those were without Victor and Hornsby. I'm hoping the road percentage gets closer to .500 as the season progresses.

The minute this team thinks they are "in", they will start losing games.

It's basketball. We are going to lose games whether we are considered in or not. We aren't going undefeated.

A talking head actually said something I believe is true. He said this team plays just hard enough to win and plays down to the competition. If they think they have nothing to play for then their intensity level will go down.

If we lose @Kentucky and @USCe and go 14-4 in conference, do we make the NCAA tournament?
great question and i don't know the answer because it depends on the resumes of other teams. the committee is certainly going to know that lsu didn't pick up any big road wins even with the full roster. that would make lsu's road record 5-8 with no top 50 wins (assuming lsu won the other road games). lsu will need something else to compensate for that. would 14-4 in the sec be good enough with a low sos, low rpi, 1 or 2 top 50 wins at home? looking at recent history, that's definitely on the edge and not a position the tigers want to be in.

I just painted you a beautiful picture where we would not need a "signature" road win to make the tournament
i disagree and looking at recent history, that scenario is the kind of team that sometimes makes it and sometimes doesn't. as i said, ms state had 23 wins in 2010 and didn't make it so, don't act like 14-4 is just a lock with lsu's other issues.

and this is the major misunderstanding that this handful of people have. the cult wants to solely focus on "almost beating" ou or winning 10 of 15 without looking at the big picture. again, my posting these stats has NOTHING to do with my opinion or me as a fan at the games or my disposition. but for some reason, the sunshine crew has made it into those things and continues to misrepresent what i've said despite that utter abundance of other people on both rants saying the same thing i'm saying

yes, below. below a team that had to win 10 of 15 just to START to get into the bubble conversation

he only comes around to complain
i haven't complained at all. not one time.

because you're completely, and possibly intentionally, misrepresenting what i'm saying.

The fact that you only post after losses proves that you root against us. We win and you disappear, you knob.

Dude you seem to talk in circles sometimes, and try to pontificate around the point with the use of your profound vocabulary

In other words just say go frick yourself.
Don't say "perhaps you should attempt to contemplate having sexual intercourse with ones self at the present time"
