We are going to run the ball down Oregon's throat. As the game goes on it's going to be painful, and will force them to bring down their safeties. This is when we launch the deep ones.

Darron Thomas will get a stern reminder why he should have signed with LSU. As any good coach will tell a good recruit:

"Son...you can WIN WITH us, or LOSE TO us"

You do realize Oregon is a perennial top 25 against the run (yards/att)?

I also believe we have the best personel we've had in a long time to stop the run.

Also, we held Auburn to their 2nd worse yards/attempt last year - with 2 270 defensive tackles.

Name 4 teams that were run first teams y'all played in the regular season.

Portland st......?
Ucla.....who was on their 35 string qb
Oregon st is the only legit one on there.
Maybe Stanford but not with Luck.

Logical people will see two very strong football teams going after each other. I would like to see the Tigers win comfortably but realistically, I just don't see it. I will be happy with an ugly win.

Stromile Swift- you may be correct and I hope that you are. However, those folks travel well. They will be represented in this game. They packed them in for the UT game last year.

I understand LSU's optimism. I would just caution fans to wait and see how the oline for Oregon shakes out in fall camp.

I have been predicting a 17-14 LSU win. However, my stock in the Oregon oline has actually risen for various reasons. Likewise, Jefferson is such a wildcard that predicting this game is so difficult.

No disrespect, but most oregons fans logic on jefferson will be blown outta the water in this game. I have no doubt we can move the ball on the ground with ware. Jefferson has the talent and ability to have a good game and he has shown that on a few occasions against some good defenses.
I think with kragthorpes coaching he will be much improved and more consistent this season. Disregarding him as a threat to pass will be a huge mistake on oregons part. Laugh now but you well see for yourself soon enough!

GOOD LUCK

But he also has the capability to suck. Likewise, LSU fans think they will just be able to run the ball. However, if they are one dimensional...it won't happen.

He's 6-0 in opening day games as a starter at LSU.

Depends on what part of the game you are talking about. Fourth quarter? Yes, you won't be able to stop us running the ball..

You're right...that won't happen. Us being "one dimensional" that is.

We has the box stacked against us last year against some good sec defenses and they couldn't slow us down. Ware will be tougher than ridley I can promise you. Like I said no disrespect but if they couldn't stop us I don't see oregon being able to do it either. Just my honest opinion. I'm not expecting a blowout but I don't think we'll ever be on trouble either

when jefferson has this much time to prepare, he does pretty well.

same with bowl games.

so basically, the first and the last game of the season are the best two games JJ plays all year

I think LSU can win throwing for fewer than 150 yds in the game. I also think the LSU offensive line will be a strength this year. I just don't see a blowout happening.

^^pretty much how I feel. if we could run against a stacked box last year we shouldn't have a problem this year with an improved line and a stable of grown men in the backfield

Yes, LSU can win but it would be a low scoring affair. No one here wants to talk about it but there is a chance that Oregon gets the offensive machine chugging. You better be able to throw if that happens.

One reason people don't think we'll get the offense chugging is because of the oline. Stay tuned for fall camp.

...this perfectly cooked breakfast omelette! Cleanup is to just throw away the bag. This is by far one of the coolest thing I have seen for breakfast. Thanks to Scott and his awesome tailgate for showing me this really cool way to make an omelette

I know you posted this awhile back but this is where you lost the Oregon fans. Your cooking a breakfast item because you started the day before,(partying), they don't get there until the day of the game.
