Look at the offense when miles came to LSU when Fisher was the OC and look at the offense when Crowton was here under Miles. Two completely different OC'S and styles yet the offense was almost exactly the same.

it's called taking much of the risk out of the offense when you have a marginal qb, a strong defense and good special teams...

I heard he meddled in the D the last two years too.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what happened all those other years that Miles has been here.....like '05, '06, '07, and even '08.

Who the hell thinks it wasnt?
It was some toxic mix of Crowtons and Miles and for a variety of reasons it didn't work. People who blame only Crowton don't have a clue what they are talking about.

Hard to debate a guy that proves the opposite f his position, isn't it?

I think if miles would let go and let stud run things we'd have a great offense and maybe go undefeated!
He would benefit , let Lee pass on first down with box loaded don't run up the middle with nine men in the box it's a waste of a down.

Given the weaknesses of JJ and Lee, we would be foolish to put our future in either f their hands. Unfortunately, until Mett is ready and proves superiority or Lee shows great progress...we will ave to be a good D, ball control O, great ST team to win consistently.

I blame Miles for not firing Crowton after '09.

Tigerfoot I agree with you except lee showed improvement last year , clearly we won 2 games because of lee. I think Lee will put up flyn like numbers this year.

He doesn't want people to judge him based on the terrible production.
So you're calling him a straight up liar!
Yeah, makes sense!

What would you expect him to say that cluster frick we ran there for the last two years was all mine. Well it was all his, Miles' philsopy was to win with what he had. And what he had was sub par QB play and OC who doesn't know how to coach. Because that sure as hell wasn't his philosophy his first three years when LSU blew teams out when ever they could.

I seriously doubt the offense was 100% crowtons responsibility and input. People in the know have stated such.

The day Crowton was hired my buddy who was in Seattle at the time called and said "I hate the hire. We'll kill it the first season and get progressively worse every season after that, just like every other job Crowton had"
The day he left he called and said "I told you so"
FWIW, I never thought the playcalling was the absolute worst in the world. Usually the execution. We needed a QB coach. Hopefully we have that now.

Again, look back at the blog post I posted a couple of pages back and tell me this didn't pinpoint the problems with the offense the past few years.
