CROWD DISAPPOINTMENT FOR SEC OPENER

Very disappointed in the crowd for LSU's SEC home opener. The atmosphere was flat at best and people starting leaving with 7 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and the game had not been decided yet.

Hate to sound so snobby about it, but I went to the Auburn game last weekend. Sorry if it's hard for me to "get up" for Miss State after being at that game last week. But yeah, you're right. Atmosphere was flat.

It's starting to seem like LSU fans have changed or are changing. Overall, most fans seem to be either indifferent and aloof, or fickle, bitchy, whiny and panicky; more so than in recent memory.

Paul, I think you are exactly right. Anyone who watched the Florida and Ole Miss game saw that no team can be taken for granted. Florida has much more talent but came out flat and could not recover. Meyer was continually trying to get the crowd into the game but to no avail.
This was a "trap" game for the Tigers and while not pretty it is still a "W"!

I was going to start a thread on this also. I was very surprised that I wasn't hearing the crowd in the fourth quarter and then I saw why, because they were gone.

Even Brandon Lafell was quoted on the news saying something to the effect of, "it's hard to get up for some of the teams that we beat every year (without naming any names)."
And he said that this week. We all knew he really meant to say Miss State. The team came out flat. You're right, it was a trap game. Last night was the trap that we usually fall in against Ole Miss.
