What if this somehow manages to drag on longer than anticipated (say week 3 of season) and these kids get granted there fifth year. Would there some how be an argument then, that they technically never played a full year, ran through spring and fall workouts etc?
Could they potentially be granted a 6th year to play a “full” five seasons? I could see some kids who have no options left after college pushing for it and if the league and the ncaa fold to this, would be vulnerable to lawyers.

My thoughts are why was there not any strong verbiage for a clear effective day in the ruling.
