Living in Central Texas, I hear “a lot” from Horn and Aggies. There has always been a searing hatred and disrespect for LSU here and I am confused as to why? The local television sports give us a continues dribble about the Mighty Baylor Bears. That is mind numbing. All of that only makes the wearing of my P&G more special.
I have heard a lot of complaints about the Tigers “faking” cramps to slow things down this past Saturday. These people point out that no Texas players experienced the same effects. I have watched the game again and I noticed that most of LSU’s drives were short lived. It seemed the Tigers got the ball and “scored at will” and they did it quickly. That meant TU’s defense was not on the field that long. On the other hand, Texas also was efficient in scoring when they got the ball…except, they took much longer to do so. For that reason, our defense was on the field much longer thus causing more heat related injuries etc.
Of course, my Longhorn friends are every bit as passionate for their team as I am. Many will try and put this all behind them and continue their smack talk soon. They have a real juggernaut in that brutal Big 12 schedule ( Big 2 Little 8) they are facing. I am getting the feeling they realize as good as their team performed, the better team did in fact win. They "realize" it but they will never acknowledge it. They will continue to lament about LSU faking cramps, and they will use a lot of “what if’s” to support their theory of superiority. Do not worry, this Tiger will remind them they lost the actual game and that we will be ready on September 12, 2020.

At least a few of the injuries were not cramps and the fans still booed. Off the top of my head, Divinity hurt his shoulder on a tackle and Lawrence hurt his ankle. The boos rained down for both.

We probably "faked" a cramp or two, but I don't care. They can take their L and go home.

Everything is better in Texas. I have heard it all my life.

Anyway in Tuscaloosa and when we play Florida and TAM we need to be giving players IVs before the game and at halftime.

it really only happened on the 19 play drive...and the players never caught there wind after so it obviously spilled into other drives as well...I heard our players declined to be have an IV at half which is crazy to me considering 3 or 4 had to leave the game to get one in the 2nd half

we have done it against up tempo teams before...who cares.

I think most of the "cramping" problems the players are told just to go down (whether they can get off the field or not)

Faking a cramp is equivalent to poaching a Louisiana recruit away from LSU.

There is nothing anyone can do about it by bitch and moan and cry.

How opponent fans feel about LSU faking cramps is how LSU fans feel when a Louisiana recruit is poached.

Heard the same thing about faking from arrogant Texas fan sitting in front of me....
Of course, 2 of best LSU’s defensive players were faking, one an All American. Smart gameplanning to have them off the field and in the lockersoom most of the quarter getting IVs!!! Riiiiiiiiiight!!!!!
{
Texas didn’t have problems:
Maybe because....
Texas had possession of the ball 2x longer than LSU in the 2nd half. LSU defense on field twice as long as Texas D.
This uptempo offense is new to LSU. Herman has been running it for YEARS.
LSU coaches will make changes to accommodate this offense and how it impacts the defense.
Coach Gene Chizik made same points on SEC Now program.

I was born and raised in Austin and now live in San Antonio. Im not sure where you get all this hatred for LSU.. We hardly ever play them so don't really agree with you on that. I have never heard this, there are a lot of LSU fans in Texas and when Texas doesn't play them I root for LSU in the SEC. The cramps thing was odd.. But I wouldn't call out player for it because there is a chance they are actual hurt and then makes you look like an arse..
