LSU has a the best record in the SEC since 2002.

So we are going to throw out 2001, 2001? In that case USC >>LSU

8 straight BCS bowls... definitly ahead of LSU

They have been to 7 straight BCS bowls by my count. And while extremely impressive there hasn't been another team in the Pac10 to finish in the top 5 during that time span and somebody has to go. The SEC has had LSU, Florida, Auburn, Tenn, Bama, and UGA all finish top 5. That's a lot of teams to spread BCS bowls around to.

But the real knock on USC is the fact they have 2 seasons where they didn't have a winning record (LSU and Florida have winning records every season this decade). USC still has an argument, but they aren't a slam dunk.

Have they won a championship in the last decade?

Ok they won 2004 BCS national championship-- I blanked that one out.

Still, we have 2 and UF has 2

Don't forget we are 3plays from roy Williams and one play against Iowa from being undefeated in bowl games for the decade including 4-0 in bcs

we can't play that game. USC is just a couple of plays away from beating UT in 2005, giving them 2 championships and an AP trophy.

If LSU wins this years NC then we are the team of the decade hands down with 3 NC's and 2 in 3 years. We trump USC and Floridia across the board. It would be sweet if we can pull it off.

the same BS bowl annually against same terrible conference doesnt justify....definitely ahead of LSU, additionally playing same weak conf. foes CAL included, definitely doesnt reflect much either, hold your arms/hands up, how many crystal balls do you have, reflects teams of decade.... that is all

Iowa maybe should've been a win, but LSU has had dozens of victories over that stretch that were closer to being losses than that UT game was to being a win.
Texas beat us by 15; we were 11 points away from having 7 losses in 2004.
