They arent supposed to, but they do.
I went to the game two years ago, and they actually have a spot on the scoreboard that tells them when they are allowed to ring.

It's been tolerated in the last because, well, it's Moo St and they're so fricking pathetic who cares if they use plutonium powered noisemakers.

If you have to sit within 10 feet of you its a big deal. Just takes away the experience of enjoying the game. I like the MS fans but will never go back simply because I don't like headaches.

They are supposed to stop as soon as the center is over the ball so the offense can hear the calls at the line.

technically you're correct about artificial noise, but it's a nice little tradition, so I say let them keep it.

I've always said that LSU should give out cowbells for home games JUST when Miss State comes to town. It would be funny to hear them bitch about how it's cheating if we do it.
