If focus is on playing the game, I don't see how decision makers go past Monday before deciding. If focus is on playing game in Houston, I guess we just wait to see how Houston weathers the storm.

So, nothing in the city of Houston?

By the way, check the CURRENT radar, genius. Houston has gotten 3+ inches since you asked this stupid question, and it's just getting there. The storm is drifting east approx 2 mph. I live in San Antonio. It's raining all the way from here to there, harder there than here.

Actually, pretty sure most if not all of those rivers, creeks, bayous, etc...run thru or around Houston and are forecast to crest in major flood stage.

BS you don't know anything. Who's forcasting that? None of the bayous IN HOUSTON are any where near cresting. You don't have to take some nameless internet expert's word for it. They monitor all that here:
https://www.harriscountyfws.org/?View=full

About 3 inches of water so far...in Houston. Bayous have been receding all day.

Radar lies, I guess. I'm quoting the new anchors regarding the flood stages and crest expectations, including Buffalo Bayou which is expected to crest higher than during Allison

Y'all are funny. Downvoting me for posting a link to the radar in Houston that includes the amount of rain that's fallen just in the last two hours.

That's a link directly to the government agency that measures it. Anyone else is getting their information from there.

Do you know for sure what those numbers will look like on Wednesday? I think everyone understands that Houston is presently ok in terms of rain accumulation.

What facts? This is the actually point where buffalo bayou is at and has been over the last few days. It isn't anywhere near cresting.

I looked at it. I NEVER said the rivers were flooding NOW. I never said they were rising NOW. It's just getting there, man.
My link is to the actual effing radar. It's raining there now, and it's likely to continue for a couple more days.

Lol thanks for making my point. If it was near crest now, there would be no issue. We aren't scheduled to play tomorrow, man.

I can't predict the future but neither can the doom and gloomers. Isn't is pretty difficult to believe that after meandering around Texas, five days later these bayous are going to crest higher that they did during Allison? It would have to rise 30 feet between now and then. During Allison we had 25" fall in a 12 hour period. That was directly in Houston not surrounding areas. How is that going to happen?

You're right. The game is a week away and you're shitting your pants over rainfall totals that even experts say is hard to nail down.

When do you think a decision will me made on whether to play in Houston? Wait too long and risk having to reschedule.

So because it's raining right now, we're going to get more rain than we did during Allison? I'm pretty sure you have no idea what it would take for that to happen. It's not just a matter of getting rain but how much and how fast. How are we going to get that much rain so fast that it can't drain out fast enough from a storm that has already hit land 200 miles away and has been weakening all day?

I'm sure they will have stuff figured out by the time an announcement needs to be made.

I actually am VERY familiar with Alison, it's flooding, and the disastrous nature of the after effects.

Im not saying the game is going to be cancelled, and definitely don't want it to be.

With the current forecasts, which can absolutely be wrong, its a possibility we could see a similar situation. There's nothing wrong with discussing potential contingency plans, which is the very title of this thread

weakening all day?

A: That's what they do during weakening...rain themselves out
B: Alison was a frigging 40 mph tropical storm at landfall
The strength of the storm has zero to do with the amount of rain

Guess that's the big question, when do decision makers decide and is focus on playing game or playing game in Houston?
