You would be exactly correct in that he coached that team to great success this season. And then had the integrity to step out of the way knowing that from the moment mutual interest was shown between LSU and CBK (which had to be sooner than postseason, or else he may well have lost his opportunity in all likelihood) --- so instead of being a liability due to his being distracted by very justifiable interest in this sudden opportunity, he removed himself, likely knowing full well he'd catch all this hell by very, very shortsighted people.
