He's clearly in rarefied company. #1 career receptions and receiving yards. I think 21 TDs ties him with Michael Clayton at #6. Only the second LSU receiver to make 70+ receptions in 2 seasons (after Wendell Davis).
For 2023, his receiving yards are only after Chase 2019 and Reed 2001, which are statistical outliers for LSU (over 1700 yards, 1780 for Chase and 1740 for Reed). The stand out game for him in 2023 was Mississippi State, 13 catches, 239 yards, which was good enough for 5th most catches in a single game (tied with Jerel Myers) and 4th most yards (tied with Reed for Reed's 2001 performance against Illinois).
So, for that game only Boutte (Ole Miss 2020), Reed (2001 Alabama), and Todd Kinchen (1991 Mississippi State) had more yards.
I guess the only knock is TDs, but that isn't always within the control of the receiver. For example, Reed didn't catch nearly as many TDs as teammate Clayton, despite almost doubling his career yards.
