Fred Southerland on May 4, 1962 in a 2-0 win vs. Tulane. He had 14 K's & 2 walks.

The only perfect game by an LSU pitcher was by Bruce Baudier vs. Alabama on May 5, 1967 in 7 innings. He had 8 K's. ETA: LSU had 6 hits and won the game 2-0.

It would have been a real big deal had it been 9 innings. Kinda blowing it up over a 7 inning game. Still good, congratulations!

Poche' wasn't going to pitch 9 innings yesterday. Not on a pitch count, whether he had a no-hitter or not. Mainieri said as much after the game. Those 7 inning games everyone bitched about yesterday turned out to be a blessing because we got to see history
