Thx, I thought I heard that as well. He also mentioned having McCune/Jones for SLU, which made me kinda worry when McCune started Saturday.

It's a nice problem to have. Having enough pitchers where you have to juggle to get all of them starts.

Eades velocity for his first two innings of work against Wake was good and he touched 95 but the third inning of work when Wake started hitting him his velocity dropped, will probably see him against SLU and there was no need to throw him against Holy Cross this weekend - Jones will probably go 6 and turn it over to Eades and Ott

I think he was saving him knowing LSU had 2 games this week

Yeah he's still recovering from injury/surgery.

But I think he may be able to handle miss valley st.

i think and hope the loss of velocity had more to do with not throwing competitively in over a year

Russian making me doubt myself

Come SEC play I see Eades as an 7th-8th inning stop gap to get us to Ott. Perfect role for him this year as he regains his arm strength.

if mccune/ jones continues to step up, that is a great role for eades

a power stop gap guy will be huge for us

I just repeated what PM said when he introduced McCune, Gausman and Alsup at the CC meeting last Tuesday. He said they would be the weekend starters vs. HC but KG would start Friday, McCune on Saturday and Alsup on Sunday.

I didn't hear his comments on the radio post game show which was different from what he said at the CC meeting.

yes.

maineiri said he hasnt decided if he will go alsup on saturday and gausman on sunday (the initial plan was to let all 3 pitch on separate days for the first 3 weeks) or if he's going to keep alsup on sunday.

eta: wake won 2 games over the weekend. Our RPI is STOUT! UNO lost all 3 of course.
