If there is one thing I've learned in 35 years of working is you don't ever want to work with or for family or friends.
It's a good way to lose someone who you are close to.

Sometimes the reason people are good friends is why they can't work together.
Cameron is known to be headstrong and a little feisty.
What happens if he blows up at Miles on the sideline over a call that gets changed?

I fully believe there is a difference in working with a friend and working with someone youve know for 30+ years that was in your wedding.

The point has some validity. It took Mark Richt at UGA 2 long years to replace his Def. Coord - because they roomed together in college.

But, that said, I think they're both professionals and understand that this risk does exist.

Hopefully Miles was man enough to tell Cam that its his baby completely and 100%. None of what I've done the last 4-5 years has helped. I need help old friend, take the reins.

This isn't the first time they've worked together. They were together 7 years at Michigan. I'm sure that 7 years is enough time to learn and get used to someone's work habits.

You have a good point but I think that Miles is just that confident in him they wont have this problem. Its a chance you have to take at this level of the game in my opinion!

ummm..they BECAME friends because they worked together. It is not as though they grew up as children in the same neighborhood.

If Miles and Chavis have become friends....should he fire Chavis now?

What an odd criterion you have for working with someone. Only work with folks you don't like? Never BECOME friends with coworkers / employees?

Maybe that's what he needs? Someone he can trust to run the offense and give full reins.
