The NFL just fined Andrew Whitworth $10K for defending himself when the Jacksonville Jaguars' John Henderson tried to gouge his eyes out. Henderson was fined the EXACT SAME AMOUNT. Henderson should have been fined significantly more and suspended. Let the NFL know that this was a bad decision.

Here is a video of the assault on NFL.com.

Dear Commissioner Goodell,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the NFL's announcement to levy the same penalty against Andrew Whitworth and John Henderson for greatly disparate offenses.

John Henderson's attack on Whitworth merits a much greater fine than 10k and should have been
accompanied by a multiple game suspension. Your failure to appropriately address Henderson's brutal eye gouging sends a message to the rest of the NFL that players can viciously attack other players without fear of significant penalty.

This is not the NFL that I want to watch. If this trend continues I am certain the NFL's popularity will wane. I urge you to reevaluate the NFL policies on assessing penalties and repeal Whitworth's fine.

What crap that is. Henderson was being a baby because he got owned by Whitworth and then he tries to gouge Whitworth's eye out.

The NFL is becoming more pathetic by the day. How the hell can they even kick Whitworth out much less fine him just like they did Henderson? What's he supposed to do, let him gouge his eye out?
