Bringing my wife and hs senior daughter to their first game in TS on Saturday along with a campus tour on Monday. Was hoping the Gameday experience would give her the nudge she needs to attend there next Fall. Any tips on how to make the most of the day with the terrible weather forecast? I haven’t been to a home game in about 15 years so any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

I feel bad that this is the game you are coming too.

Bring a poncho
Depending on where your tickets are you could walk over to NEZ & let your daughter see the band/student section

Show her the Barnes & Noble bookstore. Lots of LSU stuff to purchase.
Take her to Mike the Tiger's cage depending on the weather.

Chimes/Varsity is a good experience on game days with rain. Try to get to Chimes around 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., then eat lunch, then walk to the back of the building to the Varsity and watch games on their big screens. If you have to wait on a table at Chimes, just wait in the Varsity until your table is ready.
Alternatively, go off campus to Mike Anderson's and sit in the bar area. TV's and great food. Not near as crowded as Chimes.
If it is not raining on Saturday morning, try to park at U-High and walk the lakes and sorority houses in the morning. If you start at U-High, you will finish your walk at Miller Dorm (the freshman girls' dormitory) and you can drop in and see if they can show you a room.
For a longer walk, my daughter (graduate 2016) and I typically walk the entire campus on Saturday morning of game day. We stay at Lod Cook Hotel and walk down Dalrymple, to the Indian Mounds, then down Victory Hill, stop at the Tiger Den, then around the stadium to Stadium Drive, Stadium Drive to Lakeshore and finish by walking down sorority row. Great morning walk and we get to see everyone setting up their tailgates and getting ready for the day. McNeese game will be a little light on tailgating, but it still puts you in the mood. If you want to add on something, stop at the Bookstore on your way out or your way back to Lod Cook Hotel. You can buy great LSU swag there. You can also walk around the Student Union in bad weather.
Don't forget Coffee Call for beignets on Saturday morning or on Sunday morning after the game.
Weather permitting, get the Times of Interest from the LSUsports.net page. Normally posted by Friday afternoon. It tells you the exact times when the team, band, etc. walk down Victory Hill. She doesn't want to miss that. If the weather is not good, get down there early and stay dry in the PMAC (it is open to everyone) until the team and band walk down.
If you want to go off campus, try Superior Grill on Government, but you probably need a reservation.
If she is into shopping, try Vertage Clothing store on Perkins for game day outfits. My daughter loves to shop there.
For the game, wear a rain suit and shoes that can get wet. No umbrellas allowed, but try to stay as dry as possible.
I hope this helps. All of this sold my daughter on LSU and why she still goes to LSU games with me today, even though she lives in Nashville.
