There are hardly any head coaches that are indisputably the best “coach” whether in general or their respective position. Saban is about the only one with his defense. Other than him, maybe Urban and his offense. A head coach doesn’t have to be the best at any given thing. The CEO at Goldman is probably 3/4 as intelligent as any given intern on his floor. He just put it all together. That’s life.

I hate people that say this kind of shite , especially so called LSU fans.
Coach O recruited Joe Burrow and made every single hire that won the title. He made sure that ship stayed perfectly on course and this team never came out flat and has a culture of leadership that he cultivated and oversaw.
How is that not what a great coach does? Because he doesn't talk like Saban and berate people? Dabo is just as goofy as coach O but gets so much more "respect ".

I guess Coach O getting Burrow 2 years ago and along the way picking up a field goal kicker called Cole Tracy didn't help us go to a NY6 bowl two seasons ago? This past season picking up a unknown coach named Joe Brady and installing the RPO that Coach O wanted since he took over didn't help us win a national championship? I just dont understand our fans Coach knows wtf he is doing and to say this past season was a fluke then all you Coach O non believers can get the fuq out of here. This man gets it and loves LSU and he knows football, recruiting, and the kids love him.

Collin Cowherd is the absolutely the worst in the business and I would not listen to his show if they paid me his salary. He talks out the side of his arse and pretty much knows nothing about sports in general. He really should be thrown out on his arse

Cowherd was a Little League and high school baseball PA announcer who rose through the ranks of local radio, local ESPN, then network ESPN. Got fired, then got a gig on Fox. He knows nothing about football (nor cares about the game).
Cowherd's takes on football are as valid as Alyssa Milano's takes on politics.

Colin Cowherd's job is to do exactly what he's doing here; throw out off the cuff comments and get a rise out of the fans. It's clear he doesn't have the time to study every single team he has to cover. How much time do you think Cowherd actually spent watching LSU before 2019? Virtually none !
