Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
I assume that means he's doing his job but I haven't really focused on him during play.

I suspect that he’s doing well enough, maybe not great. Just imagine though if we didn’t have him

He's not been playing as much recently.
Garner and JBC are the 2 starting corners with Ward/Ryan as nickel/dime guys.
Richardson comes in to relieve Garner or JBC every so often, but against Ole Miss he only played 17 snaps, against Florida he got 37 snaps.
He was only targeted twice in those 2 games in 36 pass coverage snaps which is good to see (gave up 1 catch for 16 yards between both games).

Hasn’t started the past 2 games. And our defense has looked a lot better

He may have another year. If he does, I would absolutely love for him to come back. He has all of the tools and often even when he gets "beat" he's right there with the WR. Just needs to work on finding the ball in the air

He is a very good man corner that is able to shadow recievers. His weakness is forgetting to turn his head and locate the ball on occasion, and he struggles against recievers with ELITE speed.
He has the opportunity to be a great college corner and maybe even a backup/#2 or #3 corner in the NFL. He lacks the speed and acceleration to matchup against #1 recievers at the next level.
His competition at LSU is Mekhi Garner, and Jarrick Bernard Converse both of which as of week right are being predicted to go in the 2nd or 3rd round of the NFL draft. Colby Richardson is playing at a similar level as them but just lacks the physical tools and has lost some playing time because of it.

He definitely needs to turn the frick around and pretend like he is making a play on the football.

He doesnt have another year, he started at McNeese back in 2017 so this is his 6th year of college football.
