The reason LSU was so good in tight games was in big part to the condition Greg Goldin gets his team in:
quote:
"I tell our guys all the time, they're gonna be grabbing their shorts, we're going to be grabbing the rim in the last couple last couple minutes of the game."

I thought it was because they played the tapes.

While the hard work in the offseason does get our players in great condition, I bet it’s a tiny bit of a placebo affect as well. By that I mean all teams work hard on conditioning in the offseason. and while we believe our offseason program is better than others, Wade tells his kids that they will be better conditioned at the end of the game so frequently and so convincingly that they believe it. If you believe you can do something, you have a better chance at actually doing it.

Whether it's psychology, or even a little philosophy thrown in for good measure, it seems to be working.

I'm gonna go with that crazy good free throw shooting since WW came along as well.

2nd half team. Their performance in the final 4 minutes was pretty amazing last season. Didn't always execute but the effort never waned.
