Texas can have Haley. For a former NFL coach you would think his players would be tremendous pass rushers and run stuffers ready for the NFL. NOT!

Agreed. We're all excited about O, but Brick was a great coach for us, he's been nothing but class about moving on, and I will always count him as one of us.

Yeah of all coaches that have come and gone, it's difficult to say anything bad about Brick. Wish him well and maybe he can piss off some Aggie fans at a different job now!

I'm not so sure things went down the way you assume they did. These were Miles' comments...
quote:
When asked about the status of Haley, the Tigers' defensive line coach for the past six seasons, Miles said, "Brick, first of all, has done a great job. His contribution here is valued and respected. He's currently an intern for us. We encourage him."
The last two sentences were not included in the transcript provided by LSU sports information.
Miles was then asked about the benefits of Haley staying and whether he was making a pitch to keep him.
"Well, certainly those are things that he (Haley) would speak to, not I," Miles said. "But the good news is he's in position to do the things that he wants to do."
Miles didn't seem happy with Haley...and it didn't seem like it was performance related to me.

after the whole chavis ordeal, Brick looks like a damn saint

Did you see any damn improvement on the DLine after Mingo and co left?? Hell No! And those kids got to the QB off of sheer talent. It wasn't any damn thing Brick Haley was showing them. And for the record. I've been sayin that about him while he was at LSU.

Brick was more loyal to Chavbitch which is why he had to go.

and in Chavis' case I had grown weary of his late game Shananigans which cost LSU several games over the years.

who cares about your speculation? Brick didn't take off; his role was diminished to make way for O. or, it's possible that O was brought in because Brick wanted to leave. either way, he said the right things, graciously left, and took a top notch job out of conference.
that, and you're reading a lot into a rhetorically neutral pair of sentences.
what, short of gumdrops and candy canes falling from the sky, would it take for you to be satisfied by the way he exited?
