No im just a realist and know you can have a successful season without a national title

And if he is not getting it done you do not spend time walking to the water cooler while the other team dominates your closer. You need to get some one else in the game to shut them down before they score to tie and good grief take the lead in the ninth inning with no game following.

Grambling is another 9-16 team coming in. I wonder if we can hit their ace pitcher? La tech beat them 15-1.

He has lost 41% of his post season games. And 1-4at the CWS since 2009.

How's that?

you are right, but that's his problem...
I don't think our players, nor our coaches want to lose, I can only cheer for them to do better next time...

Well said. Add Zardon, Dawson, Wofford and Byrd to that list also. They are or will be playing pro ball one day. More will leave this year. We have had 5 left fielders this year. He tries to make our home state kids work and I get that, but they aren't even close to some of those players as far as talent. Goes back to coaching and development.

Didn't you also start the "Johnny Jones is not the problem" thread?

You going for the record for the most downvoted posts? Your last one may have already surpassed 1,000.

"It's called"

Should be called shite for fan melodrama.

I have never seen supposed fans of a team give up so easy and so early on a team they claim to cheer for than we do here.

A baseball season is a work in progress where the hope is that a team will play its best in May/June rather than March/April.

Why not hold our water before we start pissing all over this team like drama queens.

We'll see. I don't think the upcoming football season will be any better than last year's. Basketball might be a little better, but I doubt it.

Changing coaches does nothing but give the "fire the coach" types another coach to bitch about.

It's been like that forever...way before Miles was fired.

However, I agree that our fanbase is ridiculous with its inability to be rational.

got another national seed last year
not this again. elite programs don't measure success on something that is voted on based on regular season success. i don't understand why people are trying to give mainieri a pass with this weak excuse

Our fans have a very inflated sense of self when it comes to the baseball program
lsu nearly doubles every other program in budget. it's not close. he's got the only f1 race car in the game. everyone else is driving gt class cars.

there's the old excluded middle. there is a level of success between what mainieri has done over the last 7 years and winning a title every year. and other programs who spend less are settled into that space. ergo, frustrated lsu fans and rightfully so
