Considering the increasing frequency of bullshite , hack journalism surrounding the Tiger program and the intent on inflicting damage to its reputation, it is no surprise whatsoever that Les has decided to slide the curtain earlier.

I am not surprised by the initial backlash articles, but when the beat writers initiate an obvious witch hunt, game the frick over.

Objective journalism is gold, but when objective POVs become blatant opinion columns with no other motive than to discredit a program, yank the press pass.

Rant over.

The media and this board often confuse negativity and objectivity.

Uh, that's always been the case with journalists trying to make their name

Seems like Miles is super sensitive over the backlash from his players voted mantra

I agree.
To clarify my earlier post, I meant that journalist/some fans believe because they can find the negative they are objective.

Unfortunately, focusing on the negative or even interpreting an ambiguous situation as negative is a favorite pastime of both.

On a related note.
Example:
Miles is sensitive and embarrassed so he closes practice to the media.

I see it as insulating the team from distractions and keepin them focused.

Kleinpeter and Guilbeau have no excuse to creepily hit on 20 year old girls in walkons that would never touch them anymore

We all miss out on additional info when the media gets closed out of practice. It never matters what CBS or ESPN writes, but when NOLA and The Advocate go down this road, they get treated like outsiders and it is to the coach's discretion. I know they didn't see this one coming, but they should have.

how about they are practicing some new things? How about plenty of freshmen are in the two deep? How about Chavis, and CC have requested this? Who knows? Bored people can be rather creative.

relax.

Is it closed for the rest of fall camp? If not, it should be. I wouldn't blame Miles one bit.

I would start Hill in the first snap of the game, then pull him out the rest of the game just to piss the media off.

When you are one of the biggest at something in the nation and every fricking thing you do is placed under a microscope for millions to dissect, finding something to be negative about is a very simple task and it doesn't take a special kind of fan objectivity to do it.

if I was head coach and its no rules against it, I would never give other coaches more video footage to watch than I had too

I agree with Miles closing practice. The negative waves are rediculous!

No, but if you know enough LSU fans or read this board enough, then you know many LSU fans gravitate to the negative.

Take a look at this board on any given day and you'll read numerous threads and post focusing solely on the negative.

I'd imagine the LSU fanbase is one of the few devided by the monikers "NegaTiger" and "Sunshine Pumpers".

"Pumping Sunshine" is being a homer and spewing negativity is supposedly objectivity.

Certainly, there is middle ground, but much of the fanbase doesn't seem to find it often.
