Converse operates independently after they went broke, but still boil down to an entity owned by Nike that doesn't hurt the brand. Same with Cole Haan, Hurley, and Umbro. They're not going to object to the shoe, although they would probably prefer it be Nike due to the fact that many don't know they own the Converse brand
