I love when Chizik gets bashed by the guys that believe in a coach that hasn’t had anywhere near the success he has had in his career.
It’s such a perfect display of the logical inconsistency required to pretend as though we didn’t make an absolute dogshit hire to replace the most successful coach in LSU history.

I think the reason Chizik is so negative toward Orgeron is the same as the negatigers. If a man who talks funny can be successful its going to make Chizik look/feel even worse.
If Giles had gone to Georgia or Auburn instead of LSU, he would have been the key to their national championship drive.

Chizik took over a 5-7 team and went 8-5, 8-5, and 3-9 in his three seasons without Cam.
He won every major Coach of the Year Award in 2010 because in addition to Cam he fielded a defense that finished in the top 15 in the country and went on to shut down Chip Kelly and Oregon to win the BCSNC.
He also hired Gus Malzahn and allowed him to run his offense to extreme success without interfering or trying to stick his nose where it didn’t belong because he was busy running the defensive side of the ball, to great success.

Well hopefully O will go find the next Cam the way Chiz did.
Hopefully O has found his version of Cam in Burrow and we’ll see.
And even if Burrow is that guy, does that mean we should also discount any success O achieves with him??
Who is to say he won’t collapse after his already developed transfer QB is gone the same way Chiz did??
In any event, he’d also have to find his version of Gus Malzahn, who Chizik hired to build and allowed him to run the offense. We’ll also see if O has done that.
And of course he won’t have to build or find someone to build a top 15 defense like Chizik did because he was gifted an elite level DC by the man he replaced.

I can't answer your questions with 100% accuracy, no one can. The only thing I know is that if this team does have success, there will be plenty that will still disregard O.

Chiz spoke highly of LSU last season, but I definitely noticed him rolling his eyes and almost laughing last night when they talked about LSU. I sure hope we haven’t fallen this far. We need to win.

No. It’s more about the first time he was head coach in the SEC. that is why analysts say what they say, not because they just looked at Orgeron and formed an automatic opinion about him.
