LSU just charged me for my Chicken Bowl tix. I saw the tickets on sale via the LSU website for $60, but I just got charged $495 for 6 tickets. I'm a mid-level Priority Points guy, so I'm guessing I ended up getting $80 seats?

That's good and bad. I was thinking my charge was going to be about $375. I guess that means I got good seats?

Anybody know what the ticket prices are supposed to be? I didn't see any on the Chicken Bowl website.

i got charged 295 for 4 and my dad got charged 335. I think 60 is for uppers, 70 for club, and 80 for lower level plus 15 dollar s/h fee for skips pocket.

I got charged $155 for 2 tickets. How much is the shipping and handling charge? I'm going to be pissed if I'm in the upper deck.

My guess is the $155 covers two $60 tickets shipping handling tax and kickbacks. If so you're in the 300 level which is upper. I did that the last time we went to the Chicken and biscuit bowl.

I was in the upper with the most drunk Miami fan ever. At the start of the game, he kept yelling "Down, down, down, you are going down"

He only got louder after they scored 3 pts adn then we started spanking them.

Before the end of the 3rd period he was so drunk he actually fell into the people (LSU fans) in front of him. He was wearing one of those stupid seagull head hats.

He left early, and our whole section started yelling back.

Down, Down Down, you are going down! As he left all pissed off and drunk.

I stopped requesting tickets from LSU for Non-BCS & SEC Championship Games because you can buy them on ebay for far less than face value. Unfortunetley, LSU fans will not travel as well to lower level bowls and plenty of tickets will be available.

I had to share some knowledge from an old job that helps to understand what these fees are for. Eveytime I see people say stuff about added charges it reminds me of all the nice people I used to speak with on the phone all the time.

Handling fees in the ticket business only help subsidize the cost of shipping tickets and other work that goes along with processing orders. Most schools/professional teams lose money yearly in processing costs and are only trying to get some of it back.

For example, the thermal ticket stock or souvenir tickets that most season ticket strips, or especially bowl tickets are printed on is expensive as hell. Most ticket offices use a mail house or the ticket vendor/print house to process their mail merge files, make shipping labels, separate each order by hand, stuff the envelopes with the correct tickets, and send them out. They charge the hell out of you for that. Then, the school/team have to pay the UPS charge to send out your tickets.

The cost of the ticket, or face value, does not have any of that built in. All that money goes to the team/venue, county, or who ever else is involved with hosting and operating the event.

I've continued to do it only because I know LSU needs to sell them. I got crappy seats for the '00 Peach and '04(5) Cap One, knowing I would've gotten better tickets fending for myself. I got pretty good '05 Peach tickets, for the LSU section. I was in the lower endzone, straight behind the goal posts.

The only away ticket I've gotten that was any good was at Ole Miss in '05.

Every other away or postseason ticket has been big time nose bleed. I can't complain though - I've gotten tickets for everything I've asked for since becoming a ticket holder in '02 except two: '04 at UGA and '06 at UT.

Sounds like you might have the mezzanine level according to the other poster (2x$70 + 15).

The club/mezzanine level may be more expensive than the lower level seats. I have SEC Championship tickets in the club level and their face value is more than the lower level seats right below them. So, it could be 60 for upper, 70 for lower and 80 for club. Not sure....

We have seats in the lower level (section 101) and the face value printed on the ticket is $75. I didn't get them through LSU though.

Edit: Does anybody know exactly which sections were included in LSU's original allotment of tickets?

The Good thing about the Georgia Dome is there isn't a bad seat in the house. I am in section 344 row 15. I used to hate going to the Superdome as a kid but the Ga. Dome i don't mind sitting in the 300 level.

I've yet to be charged -- still have the $1 "credit card verification" charge.. I'm getting a little worried.

I called the ticket office; I'm in 109, lower corner.

Was charged the $70 per ticket plus $15.

Seems like pretty decent seats, but closer to ACC side per the Peach Bowl website. ??

I'm not 100% certain, but I think that the LSU sections end at 110.

I guess the easiest way to find out is to call the ticket office and find out where my tickets are.
