WOW... either he has a brilliant agent or the AD at Notre Dame was drunk? Or both?
My guess would be that his new salary would be credited against the buyout by some formula, which is pretty much what one would expect. But the contract terms are not public, I don't think.
Anyway, the AD at ND had some kind of brain malfunction for whatever reason when he locked ND into a 10 year deal with Weiss 7 games into his first season. Really dumb move that I suspect will never be repeated anywhere.
