Hester was a little faster than Scott, but Scott breaks more tackles and has better feet.

Hard question to answer really, Last year I would have said Hester and this year I think Scott. Not a cop out by saying he was here and now hes not either. Last year I think Hester was a complete back and was better, but I think Scott learned A LOT from Hester last year and has learned what it takes to become a complete back. So I think, based on the fact that Scott is probably a better athlete, that now that he learned from HESTER how to be a better player all around on the field and off the field that I would go with Scott... THIS YEAR.
This is the correct answer, and illustrates the correct way to build a PROGRAM.
We won the NC last year, by the way.
The correct question should be:
Scott before this year vs. Scott this year?

Well.. I look at it this way: Scott couldn't get the first down last year in triple OT at Kentucky and Hester continually got the 4th down conversions done against Florida.

Here's the rushing comparison for that game(Kentucky) in case you forgot:
C. Scott 7 94 13.4 2 55
J. Hester 18 61 3.4 0 11

I'm not arguing stats. I'm saying the one chance Scott had to do it last year he didn't. I like him as much as Hester.

Because you can't. It's obvious Scott was the better back that day. You can't judge his performance based on a single carry.
