Yds and TD do go a long way. But every year they judge very critically how each player played in big games. (+1 for Scott). Every Heisman candidate should have great stats against the cupcakes. Its the big games that matter. I doubt Scott Wins the Heisman unless he continues his pace and we make it to a BCS bowl game. He will also need a little razzle dazzle throughout the season to make the highlight reel and become a fan favorite. (For Scott this would include a big stiff arm and then stepping on the players chest). lol. Honestly, I would just like to see him make it to NY.

Here's the problem. Charles Scott is a complete animal. He has to ability to take over and completely dominate ballgames, and I don't think that his success will end in Tiger Stadium. I'd be willing to bet that he will be a damn good running back in the NFL. If he keeps this up, he deserves the trophy without a doubt.
But the reality of the situation is that the Heisman Trophy is a complete joke now. Look at the past few winners and ask yourself "Where are they?"... Troy Smith, Reggie Bush (underproducing no matter how talented he is), Matt Leinart, Jason White, Carson Palmer, Eric Crouch, Chris Weinke? Can you guys remember back to a year when Peyton Manning (a future hall-of-famer whether you like him or not) did not win the trophy? That's right... because Charles Woodson did (a player who has been a consistent force in the NFL also). Would you compare that group of Heisman winners that I just mentioned to maybe to the 1980s group (Barry Sanders, Tim Brown, Vinny Testaverde, Bo Jackson, Doug Flutie, Herschel Walker, Marcus Allen)? I don't think so. Now-a-days, the trophy goes to the "cutest" player, the guy who plays well in bad conference for an overrated team (USC, Wack-10).
The truth is that Charles Scott is a beast and will be a beast in the NFL. But don't be upset when the award goes to a Chase Daniel or Tebow (guys who will not be quality NFLers). Just know that ol' Chuck Scott will be making more money for longer playing with the big boys and away from this media controlled NCAA.
