Championship Teams Don't Play Down to Level of Competition

It is disturbing to hear LSU players admit to not playing their best against Towson. A championship team is motivated by pride to improve every week and plays to dominate the opponent no mater how good the opponent is.
I understand that teams have off weeks and can't always play at peak levels but when our QB and several other players admit to not being very motivated during a game it is not a good sign.
The best players and teams seem to always give their best efforts consistently. As much as I hate to admit it Alabama seems to have the championship mind-set much more than LSU does at this point.
I hope this team learns before it is too late that the best motivation comes from within and not from the opponent you happen to be playing.

Like Alabama needing to block a chip shot FG to beat a Tennessee team that didn't go bowling, when they won in 09?
Like Alabama beating Georgia southern by 24 points last season?
Like Auburn in '10 when 90% of their games were 1 possession games?
Like Florida in 08 losing to ole miss?

The frick is wrong with you people. We have lost 1 game in two years. That is unfrickingbelievable. Until we lose a game keep this shite in a microsoft word document and keep it there. I'm tired of coming onto the rant to see some news about the team and then read some douche blasting them for stupid reasons.
Is there room for concern? Sure. But even Bama and FSU and whoever has room for concern on their team. But the sky isn't falling you dumb mother frickers.

That's a myth for lack of a better word. Motivation is correlated to the challenge the opponent presents. It's the fear of losing that produces the energy, effort, focus, etc. that all adds up to what the observer sees as motivation.

last year we didn't have these pathetic games back to back. It is a sign for something. I have a great feeling we will come out great against Florida though.
