Are the giants affiliated with The Hospital for Special Surgery, or the Hospital for Joint Disease? I know HJD has an inpatient rehab, not sure about HSS.

Would be good news if true. Not buying into the whole "La. hospitals are crap" noise. This is about the Giants wanting him closer so their team doctors can oversee his recovery at close hand.

Wishing Chad a speedy recovery!

It's not like he's flying coach on United. It's a specially equipped medical flight.

My grandma had to take a Medjet flight from Paris to Lafayette. She had 3 doctors on the flight equipped with basically a junior operating room. He'll be fine on the flight

I'm wondering if the medical expenses are picked up by the team.

not sure it means anything about his future

from my understanding there is prob some type of insurance clause in his new contract with the Giants, thus that makes them in charge of where he is treated. Maybe im just blindly assuming. I dont really know.

I'm so glad for him. I hope to goodness he gets the best care available anyway but care with his athletic future in mind is exceptional. The guy is an athlete -- having his athletic career come to a stop right now would just be awful. He needs to compete. Best of luck on your recovery, Chad.

Why would they pay for his medical care; most especially for a non football related injury?

Serious? because they have a lot of dough invested in him. Remember the Steelers with Big Ben and his motorcycle accident?

1. I don't have an employer
2. Who said anything about insurance?
3. Non work related injuries are not the responsibility of any employer

Are NFL Teams responsible for players' health insurance and accident insurance and expenses?

Edited for spelling

I'm assuming you mean type of car?

2010 Land Rover is what I read.

not what he meant at all, the other poster said n.o. hospitals were only good for car accidents and gunshots. so he got a smartass response.
