I am sick of hearing how bama only lost bc of turnovers . I hate ole piss as much as bama but ole piss forced bama to make these turnovers . They were in QB face hit the ball carriers hard and made them fumble and throw picks . Yea bama would have won if ole piss didn't show up but they lost . See what happens if LSU loses to bama . Do we honestly believe Lsu will still be in top 4 ?

solely using the transitive property to determine whether a team should be higher is pretty dumb...I do think florida should be around 7, though...again, all of this really doesn't matter...it's a starting point because the next few weeks are going to really separate the teams...right now, there really isn't anyone that you can definitively say should be number one

None of it matters really except the fact which we already knew, LSU takes care of business, no worries.

Well we are playing Bama Saturday, everyone knows these rankings still don't mean shite. Only beating Alabama matters.

As I said in a thread from earlier today...having a committee while also pretending we care about "winning it on the field" is the worst of both worlds. You can;t have an eyeball test to determine who you THINK are the best teams. if you want math to solve the problem once the playoffs start, then you need to use math to pout the teams in the playoff to begin with. You only get that by having a structure whereby teams play their way in by virtue of wins...not how they look winning.

This.

The Alabama Florida discrepancy is funny.

The funniest thing of all, however, is ESPN and their talking heads having an hour program to yell at everyone saying "TCU and Baylor being left out is a CLEAR SIGN from " the committee " (wink wink) to get those great OOC matchups scheduled!!! "

Translation: "Give ESPN huge ratings matchups early in the season before your team gets beat up in conference :) "

Lots of fail should be expected when only 12 people decide this ranking. Can you imagine who might have been elected POTUS if only 12 citizens were allowed to vote. Heck there is more truth in the AP poll than this thing will ever see. I've never had a problem with it for the most part and never had a problem with BCS ranking.

They know one of those teams has to lose so why not put them both in the top 4 and remove one after a loss?

Because it's not fair to certain other teams. And tbh, it's an embarrassment. If you think LSU fans want to vomit, imagine how other (non-sec) fans feel.
The committee fricked them to produce higher sec ratings for this weekend?

Unless LSU loses Saturday. Then you have a 1 loss LSU team and a 1 loss bama team, but LSU will drop out and never see the final 4 for the rest of the year. Mulligan shite all over again.

Everyone might be thrilled Bama started at No. 4 if LSU loses a close game Saturday. The door would be open for a 10-1 LSU to make the playoffs with only a few reasonable things having to go their way.

People are failing to give any realization to the fact that 3 of last year's 1st Top 4 did not finish in the final Top 4.
The teams in the 5 & 6 spots finished strong & got in.

FSU was #2 in the 1st release ladt year & finished at #3. With LSU currently at #2, does history repeat, improve, or fall upon itself...?

Bama turned the ball over 5 times. On a neutral field right now, Bama would be at least a 10 point favorite over OM. Fact.

Shouldnt matter. Bama lost.

It's not mulligan shite, it's about the best teams

You can't run around talking about the strength of the SEC and then bitch when a couple SEC teams are ranked

Bama loses to # 18 Ole Miss

Florida loses to #2 LSU

Bama #4 in the playoff

Florida #9 long shot for playoff makes perfect sense.

does history repeat itself? You really going to say this year will be like last year the first playoff EVER in college football. (well the top level) Lets give it a few years before we start talking about history repeating itself.
