a couple plays will not make a diff. of course you risk injury any time you're on the field, but by that logic, no one should ever play. now if it were an unnecessary risk (which some say it is due to our O talent), then that's a different story. but there ain't much right about our o performance right now, so something is needed. Shepard will be the man, but he clearly isn't there yet. Bring in Batman!

PP is also a good blocker and windmiller, so having him in there with Shep and JJ simultaneously could cause real issues for D. but what do i know. i'm just ready to finally put the complete beatdown on an inferior team and then get up for the big games! praying for a miracle on O, in any form.

Why would he do this with Peterson, yet the perfect wildcat QB has been on LSU's campus for 2 years and he refuses to use it with Russell Shepard?
My sentiments exactly! I can understand the thought behind getting him more Heisman talk but c'mon...we have plenty of athletes on offense...they just need to get them the damn ball!

then Les Miles is the biggest idiot in college football. Why would he do this with Peterson, yet the perfect wildcat QB has been on LSU's campus for 2 years and he refuses to use it with Russell Shepard

Exactly.
I think Peterson is a great player.....no doubt. But I'm not convinced that he'd be better than Shepard running the ball out of the wildcat. Plus, at least Shepard does have the threat of actually throwing the ball.

totally different class of player
Agreed.

when your offense is sputtering, why wouldn't you put in the freak?
Because we have 5-6 freaks on offense already. Or just pick'em...hell, just get the offensive athletes the damn ball. That Shep end-around is starting to bug me about as much as the option.

Having PP play more is NOT going to help him with his ongoing cramping issues.

Wanna run the WildTiger? Shep's your man, not Peterson, especially if they let him throw the ball at least once.

Could Shep handle the direct snap?
Damn. That's going to leave a mark.

And I am a huge Shep fan.

i cringe when i see it. why? because i can see it. and if it's that freaking blatant to an amateur drinking beer on his couch, then SEC Ds obviously know it's coming.

also, JJ:play action::miles:small, stylish headwear.

people say we're playing conservative, but that's not the issue--we're playing retarded.

look on the bright side, this has given us something new to debate heading into the game. maybe miles is a smart little bastard. manage your fanbase through odd distractions.

Personally, I think they SHOULD use Peterson on about 3-5 snaps per game just for the hype. Do not underestimate what a Heisman would mean to PP and to this team.

If we can generate some offense, then those few plays will be more than offset by the rest that he would get if they could sustain some damn drives!

He wildcated with Shep last year. Shep just never threw from the position. He always ran the ball.
