Does anyone know if the university has done anything to address the poor cell service on campus during gamedays? I recently cancelled DirecTV and would like to use a hotspot with Chromecast to stream games in the 412 lot. I'm thinking being on the fringe of the masses might allow a decent stream quality.... Thoughts??

The University should have nothing to do with cell coverage. This is on the major cell providers. LSU has campus wide WiFi for students and employees if you can access it and even that may not be able to hold up on a game day. As for streaming from a phone I have done it before but it can get spotty on days when there is a big game. Seems to be better early in the day but as the campus fills up it can be problematic. It could come down to a where exactly your tailgate is set up at on campus. So the short answer is you will have to try it and find out.

MY experience only, not a commercial.

I dropped AT&T after the babysitter could not reach me on game day. I moved to Verizon and have not had a problem since. This was 10 years ago. I am able to stream even from my seat during the game. Does it make a difference that Verizon is a major sponsor? Who can say. I have heard rumors of booster trucks on campus during game day but cannot confirm.

Same experience sans babysitter. And even the Verizon connectivity has improves.
