CEHs impact on the new offense

I don’t think people realize how big an impact he has. Every time LSU goes 5 wide he is either motioning out of the backfield or lining up as a receiver. This means the defense doesn’t have time to adjust to a 5 wide look. look at the “rub” play we used against BAMA and Florida for big plays. The reason that play works is because CEH starts at running back and then motions out. A linebacker either follows him out telling Jeaux they are in man or not and he knows it’s zone. Even if their smart and play zone because they are worried about the “pick/rub” do you really want a linebacker handing of CEH only to be asked to cover Chase or terrace coming over the middle? This is truly where the Defence can’t be right. Either play man and risk getting rubbed or play zone and have our monsters going over the middle against linebackers in coverage.
