This morning from CBS: " LSU: Thinking the Tigers, who have two of the top five scorers in the league in Martin and Jordan Mickey, will get that home win over Kentucky in February. Also believe this is the start of a big era for LSU, which is bringing in the No. 1 prospect in the country (Ben Simmons) and a top-20 kid in Antonio Blakeney next season. Welcome back, Tigers."

Surprised they picked LSU as #2... I would have to go Arkansas at this point, but I feel LSU has a good shot at #2 SEC.

I hate Arkansas. They will fall short yet again.

Sometimes I'm such a Nega-Tiger with LSU basketball because they continually pump me up and just let me down year after year…last year really killed me…we looked so good early in the year then laid an egg in SEC play. honestly, and I think I posted this last year, it was the most disappointing LSU basketball season in the past 15 years.
even when we were good back in 09 with Marcus Thorton, we would be just ONE game away from packing the PMAC, being a top 20 team, then we inexplicably lose against a shitty SEC team…that year we just beat Florida and @Kentucky, then went on to lose 3 of our next 4 SEC games to get a shitty 8 seed and placed in the bracket of death with the GOAT UNC team.
Tonight, we are playing quite possibly THE worst team in the SEC, yet I am just not comfortable with victory even as a top tier SEC team…our talent disparity to Mizzou is off the charts….if we win, we will undoubtedly have 10,000+ fans for Georgia which is amazing being only the 2nd SEC game of the year…if we lose, back to 7,000 like normal. I can't stress how important I think tonight's game is…we really need to maintain our momentum for the team and the fans.

I agree that this is a big momentum game. Win and we have a chance to get to a 10 game win streak at home Saturday night. Plus the LSU/UGA connection is very strong. I know a lot of people will want to go to that one. Really hoping for a huge crowd.

For SEC games.

yeah we always put in at least 7k when we are decent.
back when Trent was the coach and we beat Arkansas on the season finale to get to 2 wins, we still had a about 4,000-5,000 in attendance.
a win tonight, I guarantee we put 10k in the stands vs Georgia

Is 10k suppose to be good? Hell we haven't even been able to put people in the upper part of the arena this year. I remember in the 90s when we sold out every SEC game. Have we had over 7k a game this year?

It's not good, it's a start.
LSU fans never seem to think about basketball till football is over AKA, SEC play. The crowds will double quickly and if we win both games this week and are possibly ranked next week, the crowds will get much bigger. The stadium only holds 13,215 so 10k is pretty good.

Oh ok. I thought you meant we've averaged 7k so far THIS season.
I went to every home SEC game in 2006. Some 12,000-13k crowds that year. I think that will happen again soon.
